La lezione di oggi darà alcuni consigli a chi si sta preparando per andare in vacanza.

Flickr #255497334Are you packing (facendo le valigie)? Here are a few helpful tips (dritte)!
Put essential replacements (ricambi) in your hand luggage (bagaglio a mano), in case your suitcases (valigie) don’t arrive at your destination. Make photocopies of your ID (documento di identità) and pack it (riponilo) separately from the original. Send yourself an email with all the important information: credit card emergency numbers, passport and driving license (patente) numbers. That way, if your documents are lost (smarriti) or stolen (rubati), you will be able to retrieve (recuperare) all your details. Do not put your valuables (oggetti di valore) in the front pockets (tasche anteriori) of your rucksack (zaino), or it will be very easy for someone to rob you. If you are travelling by plane, tie (lega) a coloured ribbon (nastro) round the handles (maniglie) of your bags, so it will be easy to find them on the carousel (nastro trasportatore). Before leaving the house, unplug (stacca) electrical appliances, except freezer and fridge. Leave spare keys (duplicato delle chiavi) and a contact number with someone you trust (di cui ti fidi).

In questa lezione troverai informazioni su alberghi decisamente insoliti!

CLAM - UnimeIf you are looking for an unforgettable experience, you should go for an overnight stay (un pernottamento) in a haunted (infestato) hotel. There are hundreds (centinaia) of properties in the UK that claim (affermano) they are haunted by all manner of restless ghosts (inquieti fantasmi) from young children to old men. Ghost seekers (cercatori di fantasmi) from all over the world check into (si registrano) these hotels in hopes of witnessing (essere testimoni di) a real apparition. Before you book (prenotare) your stay (soggiorno), there are a few things you should know:

  • Avoid "spooky" (spettrali) dates, such as Halloween: rooms are much more expensive!
  • Research the story of the property before you go. Ghost-chasing (caccia al fantasma) is more fun if you know what you're looking for.
  • Leave small children at home!
  • There may be a room that gets more activity than others. Call the hotel staff ahead of (prima del) your stay with special requests -- chances are (è possibile che) they'll help out if they can.
