Ristorante - Grammatica
Nella lezione di oggi ci soffermiamo sui verbi che in inglese traducono il verbo ‘portare’.
Take: portare qualcosa lontano da chi parla o portare via qualcuno dal luogo in cui ci si trova verso un altro posto.
I’m taking the children to Pizza Hut tonight.
My husband took me to a fancy restaurant on our anniversary.
Take this steak to table No. 6, please.
Bring: portare qualcosa verso chi parla.
Can you bring us the bill, please?
Helen’s brought me a real coffee maker from Italy!
Carry: portare con sé fisicamente.
A cafeteria is a restaurant where you pay for your meal first and then carry it yourself to a table.
Wear: portare addosso (abiti, accessori, ecc…).
Although she was having dinner at a fancy restaurant, she was wearing blue jeans.
