Woman: A traveller is a person who is travelling or who often travels. A tourist is a person who visits a place for pleasure. This quote refers to the difference between independent travelers, who don’t just go to one resort, they like to be free to absorb many things, whereas, a tourist goes on holiday to a place for a specific reason.
Now listen to this example:
Man: We’ve been in Egypt 2 days, and we still haven’t been to the pyramids.
Woman: Stop being such a tourist, we’ll visit them tomorrow, look at all the other beautiful things we’ve seen and done.

Man: D.D.Runes said “People travel to faraway places, to watch in fascination, the kind of people they ignore at home.”
Woman: To travel around the world now is a lot cheaper, so people go to faraway places, such as the Far East, Asia and the Caribbean on holiday, where they are astonished of the beauty, yet, in their own home countries they ignore these nationalities.

Woman: I know, but, we have a Thai restaurant at home, but you always refuse to go there.
Man: Well now I know it’s such great food, I promise to try it out when we return.
